Ok so, I'll give a quick update before I go to bed here. School is pretty frickin awesome and I actually like livin in Jackson, MN even though all the guys hate it. I wish I had pics to post of all us on the poles and stuff. I've recently picked up on riding horses and I had a few barrel races last month (they weren't very good, but I'll get better). Instead of posting a bunch of pics that I already have on other sites, here's a link to my myspace [link] and all you have to do is go to my pics and the stuff from the proctor speedway are on there and some of them are pretty sweet. If you want more, find me on facebook (pics are way easier to upload there). Anyway, everything is fine on my end and I'll try to post more in the future!

It's been quite some time since I was last on dA becuase I've been busy as all get out since I started college. Everything is goin great down here, I'm about 6 hours from home though. It's not as bad as I thought it'd be, I'm getting used to not seeing my family and friends and I'm making new friends all the time! I'm going to school to be a powerline technician and it's going really good! Though I'm the only girl in my class, it's kinda nice because they're my kinda people :) I got my bunch of redneck buddies and we work out in the sun most of the day diggin holes and settin poles. We're probably gonna start climbin here pretty quick and I can't wait! It's such a rush bein 30+ ft off the ground with nothin but your spikes and your hands holdin you on the pole (til you belt in of course, then it's all good) Quick updates on everything... I got a Nikon D60 for graduation so I'm definitely gonna have to post some pics. I keep puttin it off damnit! Anyway, I went to a tough truck, mud bog, quad race, monster truck show in august and it was pretty kickass! I got pics from that too. I got to help work on the trucks (even the monster trucks) and i helped the monster trucks load up at the end of the show. It really pays off bein the sister of a racers girlfriend :) I always get in the pits and it's frickin sweet!!
Down here in smalltown USA, I've neen bailin hay and ridin horses a bunch. I got into the pits at the sprint car races and it was pretty fun. They've got a huge dirt track and the 360ci sprints are fast as hell!
So that's pretty much it and life is goin really good right now! I could do with a little less shit from the guys, but I can handle it. Only real problem is I seem to have lost my phone :( so thats a little set back, but hey! I can sleep at night now :) haha!!
So tell me how your life's been going! I been missin the dA crew :)

Ok, so this past weekend I went to the World of Wheels at the DECC and it was pretty frickin sweet! I had to sit at a table for Skills USA and tell people about STC, but it was good otherwise. I was the ONLY kid to actually talk to people that came by the table!!! wtf?!?! lol I'm also the only girl in Skills and the only girl that sat at the table! (well...duh) There was this one kid (I think his name was Mac or something) and he kept following me around. I ditched him a couple times when I was lookin at cars, but he just kept comin back!!! AHHH!! lol It was nice when the girls in bikinis came out cuz he was right there takin pictures with the rest of the guys! Can you say reprieve? haha!

I went and walked around the arenas like 3 times before I actually went and took pictures, which I'll have to post some of even though most are blurry (the kodak camera is kinda losin it) My fave car by far of the entire show was this sweet '68 Chevelle in a nice burnt orange color and man was that body straight!! The paint was flawless just like most of the rest of the car.

There was this little track set up in the back of one of the arenas where a bunch of guys raced little remote control cars. They were super fast!! There was this sweet '67 Nova sittin right by the track. It had a monstrous blower and a plastic windshield built for drags. There was also a bright yellow Cutlass that had an almost fully chromed engine with gold parts here and there to accent it. It also had a little model of the car sitting right on the front.

I did a little shopping and got a Chevy Ave. sign with a bowtie right in the middle and a tin sign with a roadster sittin at the tree waitin for the green light. I got the roadster one for my dad and he really liked it! Anyway... I'll post pics with comments describing the rest of the show...

Anyone catch the stellar eclipse last night? (had to use stellar, it just fit) It was pretty sweet! I may have to post some of the best pictures I took with our new Nikon D40. I love our new camera!! It's so cool! It's a D-SLR so its got a digital screen w/digital functions but you can manually focus it. Anyway, the moon had some pretty cool reds and oranges last night. If i'd been smart, ida got the camera out this mornin and took pictures of the moon on the west horizon and the sun in the east, but owell. It was cool lookin anyway. For those of you who didn't see the eclipse, you'll have to wait til 2010 for the next one (I saw a specific date in the paper, Dec. 21st, 2010. It made me wonder how they can track something that far in advance before it actually happens... I suppose its not that hard if ya think about it, but I'm not in the mood for math stuff...) Well, its a beautiful day so I think I'll go out and enjoy the -26 degree weather. Good ol north country :D

Good in school!

I got my english paper back today and I got a "beyond perfect!" on it!!! I'm so excited cuz I'm doing really good in that class. I also got my summary essay for construction typed, edited, and printed. I'm positive I did a good job. If not, I think there's enough big words in there that my teacher will have a hard time understanding so he might give me a good grade anyway. It may sound kinda crazy but school is pretty much great and I can't wait for college!! (Too bad I have to wait til summer of 09 to climb the poles, oh well) Hope everyone has a good day! I have some homework to do now.
